The instructions from my VPN service advise me to go to SERVICES and click the VPN tab, but there is no VPN tab in the GV5FLASH update I downloaded.

The ‘DD’ part of DD-WRT is a hat tip to the license plate code for the city of Dresden, Germany, where the primary maintainer of the DD-WRT project lives. Q: Why can't I directly upgrade from a stock Linksys firmware to DD-WRT versions other than MICRO or MINI? A: Stock Linksys firmware on the WRT54GLv1.x won't accept firmware over 3MB, or it will show the error: "Upgrade are failed!" [sic]. The micro or mini versions of DD-WRT must be flashed BEFORE flashing the standard, voip, or vpn versions. Control of your network is also superior with Linksys vs. TpLink. I can prioritize certain connections, merge 2.4 and 5ghz into one WIFI name for easy connectivity, and can set up a VPN very easily. In conclusion, this is hands down the most practical, cost effective, powerful router for the money. The Linksys WRT54GL is an excellent router capable of running 3rd party firmware such as DD-WRT. DD-WRT "standard" includes PPTP VPN Server (i.e. the type of networking built into Windows). DD-WRT Tomato is a small, lean and simple replacement firmware for Linksys' WRT54G/GL/GS, Buffalo WHR-G54S/WHR-HP-G54 and other Broadcom-based routers. simplified secure endpoint VPN client I am trying to setup a VPN on my WRT54GL router in Canada, so my friend from China is able to access those websites through my VPN. I did some research online and I think I can do it flashing either the tomato fw or dd-wrt fw but I couldnt' find a good setup procedure. I would like to find out if it is possible to connect WRT54G router to the VPN via PPTP or L2TP? The VPN company provided me with PPTP and L2T
